My name is Jeff Jackson.
In mid 2004, I was diagnosed with ALS and told by 3 different neurologists that the remaining horizon of my life was going to be much shorter than I or anyone else expected or desired. By God’s grace, in the fall of 2006, I learned I had been mis-diagnosed….that I actually have Kennedy’s Disease, (Spinal Bulbar Muscular Atrophy) and therefore my life-horizon had been extended.
During the last 37 years God has graced with me an amazing wife, my 3 adult children are married, and thus far, have blessed us with 5 grandchildren.
I’ve been a pastor since 1985, a church planter in both the Philippines and the San Diego area, and currently serve as Director of Church Relations and Missionary Care for Shepherd’s Staff Mission Facilitators.
Of all that God has created, I am most intrigued by the diversity of ethnicities, languages and cultures that He has chosen to reflect the mind-bending magnitude of His glory.
This blog contains my reflections on God, life, culture, family, and whatever other paths my over-active mind may be journeying down.
